The main balcony opening was upgraded with modern semi-commercial aluminium sliding doors and laminated acoustic glass to improve comfort, appearance and everyday usability.
Client goal
Reduce heavy traffic noise and improve everyday living comfort for a young family living beside a major highway.
Problem
The apartment had more than 20-year-old aluminium windows and sliding doors with poor acoustic performance. Traffic noise, wind noise and highway sound travelled directly into bedrooms and living areas.
Solution
Ausnex planned a staged acoustic upgrade, assisted with strata requirements, replaced the largest balcony sliding doors, installed laminated acoustic glass and added secondary internal acoustic window systems.
Result
The project transformed the apartment from noisy and uncomfortable into a much quieter, calmer and more peaceful living space.
